J.A Santschi’s sound compositions, spell(ing) and somatic practices weave gestures toward movements of solidarity, communal memories, and poetics informed by Black trans-multi- and non-disciplinary visionary kinships.

Through their practice of listening, J.A.’s artworks offer resonant and critical “embodied sonorities” that envision cultures of intimate belonging beyond current dominant systemic oppressions.

Their research experiments with theories, concepts, and speculations supporting arts and curations that center artists who need communal spaces of connection, opacity, time, and sustainable resources as they shape their visions into art and culture.

J.A has been training as a somatic sound artist and facilitator since 2021, working alongside fellow artists, mentors, and practitioners of Black and Indigenous lineages across Europe, Turtle Island, and beyond. ///// contact them here:
